UAE-based Al Ajban Poultry won first place for the ‘Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award’ at the Sheikh Zayed Festival, in the category of Commercial Animal Production Farms for adopting the highest standards in the poultry production chain.
Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment Award for Agricultural Excellence, presented the award to Dr Mohammed Ezzat El Agamy, General Manager of Al Ajban Poultry, during a ceremony held at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba.
Dr El Agamy, General Manager of Al Ajban Poultry Company, expressed the company’s pride in winning the prestigious Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Award for Agricultural Excellence, the company is working on its strategies to develop a sustainable, efficient, and integrated food system by adopting innovations and investment techniques, promoting good practices, and enhancing the competitiveness of local products, which contribute to enhancing biosecurity, in addition to achieving the nation’s food security objectives.
Al Ajban Poultry plays a significant role in supporting the security of the food supply chain, which supports the National Food Security Strategy 2051 of the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the training and development of the company’s human resources, including its veterinarians, engineers, and technical and administrative employees that contribute to the successes of the organisation.
