Albaugh Specialty Products, formerly Prime Source, has launched Pendi MicroCap, a pendimethalin-based preemergence herbicide designed to provide residual control of a broad range of weeds across turf, landscape and other non-crop settings.
The product is registered for control of 25 broadleaf weed species and more than 20 grassy weed species across residential, golf course, commercial and other non-residential turf and landscape applications. It can be used on both cool-season and warm-season turfgrass species.
Pendi MicroCap uses a low-odor, microencapsulated formulation that the company says offers reduced staining potential and improved handling compared with conventional emulsifiable concentrate formulations. The formulation is also designed to provide improved storage stability, mixing compatibility and equipment clean-up.
“With the registration of Pendi MicroCap, Albaugh Specialty Products continues to expand its portfolio of high-performance solutions for turf and ornamental professionals,” said Justin Watts, Director, Albaugh Specialty Products. “This formulation provides dependable residual weed control while delivering the handling and application benefits customers expect from today’s professional-use products.”
The herbicide is scheduled to become available in the US market in autumn 2026 through Albaugh Specialty Products’ distribution network. The registration carries US EPA Registration No. 89442-73.
