Collaberates with RainPhil Inc. and Water Corporation using Solid-phase Extraction (SPE) to uncover latest analytical laboratory innovations to detect feed contaminants
Philippines Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) in coordination with the RainPhil Inc, and the Water Corporation, conducted a sample preparation workshop for the Complete Solution for Mycotoxin Analysis and Pesticide Residue at Toxicology Laboratory of Chemical and Feed Analysis Section (CFAS).
BAI Assistant Director Dr. Arlene Asteria Vytiaco reiterated the importance of the workshop to reinforce the plight to ensure food safety in the Philippines.
“With this given opportunity to partner with the RainPhil Inc. and Water Corporation using Solid-phase Extraction (SPE) for Mycotoxin and Pesticide Residue analysis, we are able to elevate our understanding on the latest analytical laboratory innovations and development in the field of feed contaminants, in gear towards food and feed safety and security of the Philippines.” Dr. Vytiaco said.
The workshop aims to provide latest analytical innovations and progress in the field of feed contaminants, introduce various sample and tools that help in focusing on Mycotoxin and Pesticide Residues Analyses. This product delivers faster, consistent and quality sample for analyses that can handle different sample, in preparation of challenges in regulating contaminants in food from animals and animal feed products.
Attendees to this workshop included the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office, Integrated Laboratory Division and Technical staff, private companies and BAI personnel.
