Singapore’s CropLife Asia, advocates of crop protection and plant biotechnology to enhance sustainable farming in the plant science industry, has announced its new leadership board members.
Rahoul Vijay Kumar Sawani will be the new President of CropLife Asia with immediate effect.
Rahoul Sawani has been serving as President of Asia Pacific with Corteva Agriscience since 2022. In his long term role, Sawani has been instrumental in delivering the company’s regional strategy and overseeing the growth of the business in the Asia-Pacific region. With extensive experience in the agricultural sector, Sawani has held various positions across the plant science industry in his nearing to two decades service with Corteva Agriscience.
CropLife Asia’s new board members entail:
- Rahoul Sawani, President, Asia-Pacific, Corteva Agriscience as President
- Pramod Thota, President FMC Asia-Pacific, Vice-President, FMC Corporation as Vice-President
- Alexander Berkovskiy, Regional Director, AMEA, Syngenta as Treasurer
- Simone Barg, Senior Vice President, Agricultural Solutions Asia Pacific, BASF as Secretary
“As climate change intensifies and farmers in Asia face increasing challenges with crop production, plant science plays an important role in ensuring a robust, resilient and sustainable food system for the region. We’re grateful to have experienced and strong leaders comprising our CropLife Asia Board of Directors at such a consequential time for our region,” said Dr. Siang Hee Tan, Executive Director of CropLife Asia.
