Manila – Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Philippines, Inc. announces new brands, two state of the art farm equipment, and a new educational website to local animal health care professionals during the recent Philippine Veterinary Medical Association’s 90th Scientific Conference and Annual Convention.
Working under the convention’s theme of “Strengthening the Practice of Veterinary Medicine with advanced Technologies and Networks”, Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health proceeded to unveil new products and devices that were of interest to the audience at large.
The new variants of Vaxxitek for poultry and the three new brands for the three main species the company is introducing in the country: Prevexxion RN for poultry, Entericolix for swine, and Vetmedin S for dogs with cardiac health concerns.
Vaxxitek HVT IBD ILT and Vaxxitek HVT IBD ND helps prevent Infectious Bursal Disease, Marek’s Disease, Newcastle Disease, and Infectious Laryngotracheitis in poultry, while Prevexxion RN is effective against very virulent strains of Marek’s disease. For swine, Entericolix provides 21 days of immunity against diarrhea caused by E. coli and C. perfringens Type C, as well as protection against Edema disease; and, for dogs with heart disease, Boehringer Ingelheim introduces Vetmedin S, a product that has been proven to
delay the onset of congestive heart failure and improves the quality of life of dogs.

FreVAX™, is an innovative intramuscular needle free vaccine injection device for pigs and SoundTalks®, a device that uses artificial intelligence combined with always-on, in-barn audio monitoring to detect signs of respiratory disease.
Dr. Melvin Cassion, Customer Experience Lead for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Philippines, Inc unveiled the Animal Health Hub, an online learning portal designed for veterinarians to have easy access to various learning modules allowing them to update themselves with the latest tech and knowledge. Initially going live with the focus on companion animals such as dogs and cats, the site will soon include other species and will be opened to related users, such as veterinary students, farm managers, veterinary technicians, and the like.
