Joint partnership to identify and develop a pipeline of projects in bioenergy and resource recovery, as well as invest in and operate energy solutions that support energy transition in Asia Pacific
Singapore Headquartered Keppel Ltd. (Keppel), through its Infrastructure Division, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tokyo-based investment and general trading company, Sojitz Corporation (Sojitz) with the intention to jointly pursue decarbonisation and clean energy business opportunities in Asia Pacific.
Under the MOU, Keppel and Sojitz will jointly identify and develop a pipeline of projects in bioenergy and resource recovery, as well as invest in and operate energy solutions that support energy transition in Asia Pacific. The collaboration also seeks to harness Keppel’s Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) know-how and proprietary solutions for businesses in markets where Sojitz operates in.
The MOU was signed by Ms Cindy Lim, CEO of Keppel’s Infrastructure Division and Mr Takefumi Nishikawa, Chief Operating Officer, Energy Solution & Healthcare Division, Sojitz and witnessed by Mr Loh Chin Hua, CEO of Keppel and Mr Kosuke Uemura, Representative Director, President & Chief Operating Officer, Sojitz at a ceremony held at Sojitz’s headquarters in Tokyo.
