The second annual Global Shrimp Forum will be held in Utrecht between 5-7 September 2023. It is the premier event for warm water shrimp business executives. A total of 500 industry stakeholders will attend, including farmers, feed companies, technology suppliers, service providers, processors, exporters, importers, wholesalers, retailers, and many.
Established by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council, Shrimp Insights and Contango, the Global Shrimp Forum Foundation is an independent non-profit and mission oriented organisation based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The Global Shrimp Forum is the place where industry leaders can come together to discuss the most pressing issues their businesses face, and to develop a long term strategy towards the creation of a resilient and sustainable industry. The GSF aims to facilitate discussion and encourage collaboration.
The Global Shrimp Forum will feature a special two-part plenary session comparing hard data and anecdotal evidence from the world’s major shrimp producing and consuming regions. In addition to the opening plenary and social gatherings, the main conference will kick off with a session devoted to determining the truth behind the latest export and import data.
Representative from world’s largest shrimp-producing companies will speak during the first part of the session: Gabriel Luna, owner of Luna Shrimp in Ecuador; Sree Atluri, director of Devi Seafoods in India; Aris Utama, director of Bumi Menara Internusa in Indonesia; and Tuan Ngo, chief customer officer of Quoc Viet, in Vietnam.
