New fungicide Forcivo to combat foliar diseases across multiple crops with three powerful active ingredients, enhancing plant health and boosting yield potential
Corteva has announced the upcoming launch of Forcivo fungicide, designed to combat foliar diseases in corn and soybeans using three powerful active ingredients: flutriafol, azoxystrobin, and fluindapyr. Awaiting approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Forcivo promises both preventive and curative control against diseases like tar spot, southern rust, and frogeye leaf spot.
Mike Eiberger, U.S. Marketing Leader at Corteva, emphasized that Forcivo will provide growers with a robust tool to enhance plant health, increase yield potential, and manage disease resistance — ultimately helping maximize return on investment (ROI).
Forcivo features three modes of action, offering broad-spectrum protection that strengthens resistance management plans. If a disease shows reduced sensitivity to one ingredient, the others will help keep it in check. Beyond corn and soybeans, Forcivo is effective against challenging foliar diseases in wheat, barley, sorghum, and triticale, making it a flexible choice for farmers managing multiple crops or persistent infections. With up to 30 days of residual activity, Forcivo protects crops through harvest, preventing late-season diseases that can reduce yields and revenue.
Eiberger also highlighted the fungicide’s low application rate of 7 to 9 fluid ounces per acre, offering growers cost savings along with easier handling and mixing compared to alternatives. Additionally, growers can benefit from Corteva’s TruChoice program, which provides upfront savings by bundling Forcivo with other Corteva products like herbicides, nitrogen stabilizers, and Pioneer seeds. Farmers can access these discounts by prepaying online or through participating retailers.
Pending regulatory approvals, Forcivo fungicide is expected to be available for use in the 2026 growing season.
