Vietnam’s two largest seafood export markets, the US and China Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) reportes, the June export turnover topped $875 million, up 14% and the highest monthly figure so far this year. Exports of aquatic products grew nearly 7% in the first half of this year. During the reviewed period, shrimp exports fetched more than $1.6 billion, including $1.2 billion from white-legged shrimp shipments. Rust fungus is highly host‐specific New Zealand has approved the release of a rust fungus to control the spread of Chilean needle grass, an invasive weed that not only harms animals, but has the potential to cost farmers millions of dollars in lost production. Marlborough District Council applied to use a strain of rust fungus, Uromyces pencanus, as a biocontrol agent against Chilean needle grass (Nassella neesiana) in New Zealand.
