A meeting between Soopakij Chearavanont, chairman of C.P. Group in Thailand, and Do Duc Duy, Minister of Agriculture and Environment, marked an important step forward in strengthening the partnership between the two parties
“We invest in production, working for the people, for the future, and for the sustainable living values of this country,” said Chearavanont, emphasizing his desire for continued support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, as well as the Vietnamese government, to help bring Vietnamese-branded livestock products to markets in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
Minister Duy acknowledged the impact of C.P. Vietnam (CPV). “CPV is an inspiration and has a strong influence on the Vietnamese agricultural value chain. We hope the group continues to lead the way in green transformation, digital transformation, and innovation in industry management,” Duy remarked.
The Minister also recognized CPV’s contributions to promoting the livestock value chain, creating employment, and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s livestock industry. He commended the company’s efforts in community initiatives, such as supporting the development of One Commune, One Product, conserving red-crowned cranes, and tree planting.
The meeting between the two leaders demonstrated a shared commitment to tackling sustainable development challenges, including food security, climate change, and resource management.
Since its establishment in Vietnam in 1993, CPV has become a vital partner to local farmers and a key contributor to agricultural growth. Its operations span across numerous factories, providing thousands of jobs and a significant $200 million poultry processing facility in Binh Phuoc.
CPV is committed to offering safe products with full traceability while driving the modernization of Vietnam’s agriculture through high technology and sustainability. With a workforce of 30,000 employees, the company operates numerous factories, farms, and research centers across the country, supplying millions of tonnes of products annually to both domestic and international markets.
Furthermore, CPV has been proactive in its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. The company has made strides in reducing plastic packaging, harnessing solar energy, transitioning from fossil fuels to biomass, and developing low-carbon production models, with a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
