Square Roots Japan will locate its production bases in cities and directly connect them to logistics infrastructure, realizing a supply chain close to consumption areas, reducing food miles and maximizing freshness and quality. A stable supply in urban areas will enable it to quickly and flexibly meet diverse demands from restaurants, retailers, medical and welfare facilities, and contribute to improving regional resilience. Furthermore, the company will create new jobs in farm management, quality control, logistics coordination, and customer service, expanding the scope of urban agriculture jobs that young people can be proud to work in. Going forward, through collaborations with local governments, educational institutions, distributors, retailers, and food and beverage operators, the company will realize the “integration of cities and agriculture” and provide new value to local communities.
