Sino-Agri Leading Biosciences Co., Ltd has entered into a share acquisition agreement with individual shareholders of Zhejiang Province Taizhou City Agricultural Means of Production Co., Ltd. Under the agreement, Sino-Agri Leading intends to acquire at least 50 per cent of the shares held by these individual shareholders through cash payment or other means. Once the transaction is finalized, Taizhou Agricultural will become a controlled subsidiary of Sino-Agri Leading
Taizhou Agricultural, headquartered in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, operates across nearly all provinces in China. The company specializes in four main product categories: pesticides, fertilizers, agricultural films, and seeds, offering over 300 products. Its diversified business model combines chain distribution, agency distribution, and direct sales to large-scale family farms. Taizhou Agricultural holds multiple national intellectual property rights and patents, with particular expertise in rice hybrid breeding. It functions as a comprehensive agricultural chemical service provider, integrating national agency platform business, regional wholesale distribution, and direct sales with dedicated customer support, giving it strong competitive advantages.
Financially, Taizhou Agricultural recorded operating revenues of RMB 575 million in 2022, RMB 625 million in 2023, RMB 603 million in 2024, and RMB 183 million in Q1 2025. Corresponding non-recurring net profits were RMB 41 million, RMB 45.15 million, RMB 36.6 million, and RMB 11.89 million respectively.
Sino-Agri Leading stated that upon successful completion of the acquisition, Taizhou Agricultural will be consolidated within its financial scope. This move will enhance Sino-Agri Leading’s understanding of market demands and customer behavior, improve customer retention, and accelerate market expansion in Zhejiang and neighboring regions. Moreover, Taizhou Agricultural’s capabilities will synergize with Sino-Agri Leading’s crop health business segment, broadening the company’s product and service portfolio and boosting its responsiveness, decision-making, and brand influence at the market level.
Beyond its strong domestic presence, Sino-Agri Leading’s international business through its SINO-AGRI platform is also thriving. The platform focuses on building a “non-selective herbicide value platform,” supporting the transformation and advancement of the global agrochemical supply chain and fostering collaboration within the industry ecosystem. SINO-AGRI acts as a professional channel for Chinese agrochemical companies to enter international markets, driving cooperation and high-quality development across the global agricultural industry.
